Some applications require high dependability computer systems. Such applications include but are not limited to transaction, medical and space program systems. Systems that are utilized for dealing with those applications must be designed under different specifications and limitations. The undergraduate program of our Department gives the opportunity to our students to learn how to design systems aiming performance, area, power consumption or some combination of them. This course provides insight on the design philosophy they must follow when the primary aim is dependability (reliability, availability, maintainability, ...).
