The aim of this Laboratory, is to get our students acquainted with the Assembly Programming Language, but also to clarify the subjects covered during the Introduction to Computer Systems course.

The hardware that these exercises are run on had been specially developed for this reason and is based on the 80196 KB microcontroller.

Our students perform six (6) different exercises covering the :

• Representation in the Binary System
• Different Memory Addressing Modes
• Block Management Commands
• Basic Algorithms Including Binary Search and Bubblesort

Dr. Vergos does not currently supervise this laboratory. Some of the links below are therefore broken. Please note that a shift to a new hardware platform occured in 2009.
